Stellar Victory The Singapore Tourism Board recently presented The Sentosa Singapore with two distinguished awards, Best Spa Experience and Best Tourism Host: Spa. The annual Singapore Tourism Awards honour industry players who create distinctive products and services that offer unique memorable experiences in Singapore. This year's event, the STB's 22nd annual presentation , was held at the esplanade Concert Hall and graced by President S R Nathan. The Best Spa Experience award was Spa Botanica's fourth win since it opened in 2003. Spa therapist Khin Lay clinched 2008 Best Tourism Host : Spa with her warm hospitality, attention to detail and exceptional service. In addition to Khin Lay's pleasant personality, her therapeutic touch and in-depth product knowledge impressed the judges. Spa Botanica was also voted among the best in the global spa scene by Conde Nast Traveller UK. The spa clinched sixth position in the Top Ten Day Spas - Overseas category (2008). This is Spa Botanica's third consecutive inclusion in the top 10 of this annual Reader's Spa Award. The award celebrates the finest in the spa industry based on readers' votes. Spas are judged on ambience/decor, body treatments, cuisine and service - all collated by an independent market-research company. Winning the three prestigious awards means that the stringent training programmes conducted at Spa Botanica are paying off. Dedicated trainers ensure that the team practises the best industry standards. The spa therapists in turn use their theoretical and practical knowledge to offer clients outstanding spa experiences. _____________________________________________________________________________ The Garden Nestled next to Spa Botanica within The Sentosa Resort & Spa, an all-new restaurant, The Garden offers an idyllic respite where diners can indulge in contemporary cuisine, some of which are familiar favourites with an innovative twist. Emphasizing on the concept of Conscious Dining, ingredients are specially sourced from organic or bio-dynamic farms where possible and when available, and prepared by the chefs with a gentle hand to ensure that the premium fresh produce retain its natural goodness and flavours. This concept carries through with vegetarian choices and a nutritional guide which promotes a more 'conscious' dining approach as well. Located in a charming conservation building, The Garden presents a bright and airy dining space in soothing earthy hues and dotted with bold splashes of colour.
